The Seven Valleys Destination Action Plan is about setting the framework, direction, and priorities for the establishment of an effective place branding strategy for the Lithgow LGA, and to sustainably grow the local visitor economy.

2024/25 Draft Operational Plan

5 March 2024

Lithgow City Council has commenced preparation of its 2024/25 Operational Plan.    Round 1 of community consultation has now closed.  Following endorsement of the Draft Operational Plan at the 22 April Council meeting for public exhibition, the Council will call for community comment on the plan between 23 April and 20 May 2024.

Lithgow EV Charging Stations

The uptake of electric Vehicles is increasing and more drivers are seeking easy access to fast chargers. The Council has been working with NRMA on a project to place a bank of chargers within the CBD precinct in the Eskbank Street Carpark enabling visitors or locals to shop while their vehicle charges.

Lithgow Main Street Restoration Project

Lithgow City Council is inviting the community to provide feedback on the concept plans for Stage 2 of the Lithgow Main St Restoration Project between Cook Street and Bridge Street.

IPART Determination

 22 December 2023

IPART has approved Council’s Special Rate Variation (SRV) application in full. The approved overall increase to land rates for the 2023/24 year is 45.78% (including 3.7% rate peg). Council will limit the increase in the residential, farming and business (general) rating categories to 27.7% (including the 3.7% rate peg)
